What is electromagnetism?

Electromagnetism is when a metal thing has a conductor coil around it and has a battery charging the coil into the metal thing and it makes it into a magnet.

In basic terms its like a circuit with a metal thing that turns into a magnet.

More about electromagnetism

A (solenoid) is a thing that has a coil around it and is connected to a cell.

This is used to make an electromagnet.

When its connected to a battery via wire that is a conductor, a charge goes through the wire and creates a magnetic field and creates a magnet.

What does a circuit have to do with this?

A circuit is kind of like an electromagnet.

It has an energy source, a load, and wires to connect them all together.

So the current from the battery goes in the wire coiled around the solenoid and creates an magnetic field kind of like an electric field which makes the solenoid into an electro magnet.
