MMO Life relaunches MMORPG community portal
Gamers take the lead in redesign MMO HUB
Today MMO Life celebrates the launch of the new design of their flagship portal,
http://www.mmohub.org a game community focusing on the free-to-play MMORPG and MMO
games.
In addition to the features and content from the original site, the new gamecommunity exhibits a new
aesthetic and is built on an entirely new Bespoke Technical Framework. The design came to life
thanks to valuable input of MMOhubs community and is tailored to gamers needs and desires.
Usability and features tailored to gamers needs
The previous version of http://www.mmohub.org worked, but two constant remarks arose from
visitors: the site was drab, and content was hard to find. The visitors indicated that they would
appreciate a greater focus on exclusive content, gamelistings, reviews and an ability to share gaming
experiences. This new design now puts a greater emphasis on the content – news, listings of
MMORPG and MMO games, and featured articles – while making the site easier to use and navigate.
In addition, the look and feel will complement the designs of future MMO Life portals, making it easier
for users to find content across the network of gamingsites and to share experiences. The new
http://www.mmohub.org utilises an new bespoke system, ensuring the site is extremely scalable and
not restricted by “off-the-shelf” solutions. The dynamic content and new back-end technology of the
site supports these new aesthetic goals by allowing database-driven background imagery, offering
gamers an unique experience each visit.
MMO Life Network: a family of MMORPG related portals
MMOHub.org is the first of many gameportals to be launched under the MMO Life brand, targeting the
teenage MMO market. Other portals targeting “tweens” and adults will come online in 2009. MMO
