  • Don't forget that you can also compress the size of individual pictures while editing the presentation - if you're using Ppt '07 or 2010 have a look at the Picture Tools tab (while you've got an image selected) and by clicking Compress Pictures you can choose to shrink just the selected pic or all of them.

    Create your presentation like normal then…
  • 7. Go to:
    PowerPoint for Mac 2011
    File
    Reduce File Size….
  • 8. Select: Best for viewing on screen (150ppi)
  • 9. Check box to Remove cropped…
    All pictures in this file
    Then OK
  • 10. For other PowerPoint® 2002 and later
    Right-click the picture, and then click Format Picture on the shortcut menu.
    In the Format dialog box, click the Picture tab, and then click Compress.
    Under Apply to, click All pictures in document.

  • 11. For other PowerPoint® 2002 and later
    Under Change resolution, click Print.
    Under Options, select the Compress pictures check box and the Delete cropped areas of pictures check box.
    Click OK.
    If prompted, click Apply in the Compress Pictures dialog box.
