    • One of the most typical dishes of Catalonia is “Pa amb tomàquet” (bread with tomato and oil). We normally eat it with sausage, ham or cheese.
    • We also have some typical sauces like “Allioli” (eggs, garlics and oil) and “romesco” (tomatoes, onions, pepper, chilli, almonds and hazelnuts).

    • “ Fuet de Vic” is an important sausage in Catalonia, especially the one coming from the Osona area.

    • Carme Ruscalleda is a famous catalan chef . She has a restaurant called ‘Sant Pau’ in Sant Pol de Mar. Her cuisine is strongly based in Catalan tradition, but it is also open to world influences. She focuses on quality and in-season products as well as adding poetry to her cooking. She often relates the dishes served to a leitmotif explained in the menu, creating a sort of literary concept.

    • He is a self-taught cook, who has become famous without leaving his native town. He was born in Sant Celoni (Barcelona), and started studying cooking as a hobby. Nowdays, he is one of the most important cooks in Spain. He has won many prizes and has also written some books.

    • Ferran Adrià Acosta is a chef, who was born on 14th May 1962 in L’hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is the famous chef of the ‘El Bulli’ restaurant in Roses, on the Costa Brava. Today, he is considered one of the best chefs in the world and tops the European Restaurant Ranking.
