  4. 4. WEATHER South Africa's climatic conditions generally range from Mediterranean in the south-western corner of South Africa to temperate in the interior plateau, and subtropical in the northeast. A small area in the northwest has a desert climate. Most of the country has warm, sunny days and cool nights. Rainfall generally occurs during summer (November through March), although in the southwest, around Cape Town, rainfall occurs in winter (June to August). Temperatures are influenced by variations in elevation, terrain, and ocean currents more than latitude.

The selection of adventure includes the world’s biggest waves, the only snow slopes on the continent, and the highest bungee-jump in the southern hemisphere. The highlights of the Eastern Cape are without doubt the various game reserves, the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, and the surfing capital of Jeffreys Bay. www.ectourism.co.za
  7. 7. CAPE TOWN TABEL MOUNTAIN Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa, and the largest in land area. Cape Town is the legislative capital of South Africa, where the National Parliament and many government offices are located.
