Clinical pharmacists are important members of the healthcare team whose responsibilities include completing detailed admission medication histories, pharmacokinetic drug monitoring, rounding with the multidisciplinary team, medication order review / verification, answering drug information questions, and teaching students / residents. Our internship training is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. More and more employers recognize the value of hospital internship training. A student pharmacist who has completed a hospital internship program will have a competitive advantage in the job market upon graduation from pharmacy school, especially if planning to complete a pharmacy residency.
