  • 5. Reading Response
    Purpose
    to express your personal reactions and opinions about what you are reading
    to make connections with previous reading or your own experiences
    to show an understanding of what you are reading
    to show that you can write clearly about literature
    Avoid
    re-telling the story – only re-tell the parts of the story that are necessary to support your own ideas

    What is your overall reaction to your novel so far? Explain your thoughts and feelings, referring to the story details as necessary.
    You may use your novel for this task.
