Simply stated, inflation is caused by increasing the quantity ofcurrency in circulation faster than the amount of available goodsand services increases.There are actually two types of inflation, price and currencyinflation. Price inflation is often a result of normal market forcesand conditions. Currency inflation, however, is caused bymanipulating the currency supply. Price inflation can existwithout currency inflation, but currency inflation will alwayscause price inflation (although the price inflation can be masked).Inflated currency tends to bid up prices.
