    • Names _____________________________ ___________________________________ Theater III/IV “Two Islands” SUMMATIVE: 100% Objective: Assess understanding and comprehension of the goals and ideas associated with Creative Drama Assignment: Analyze each improvised activity involved in the Two Islands project. Create the “next step” of the story and convey its objective to the class through presentation and group- led activities. PART ONE (30%): Complete the chart below for six tasks/elements of the project. What was achieved through each task? What skills were used? TASK/PART OF STORY OBJECTIVE/SKILLS USED 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
    • PART TWO (70%): 1.Create the “next part” of the story. This should be a small piece of a story that you could actually tell the class as a whole. What happens with the main or supporting characters? Ultimately, what BIG QUESTION are you asking the class to answer? Write your story and your “ultimate question” below. (35%) 2. Create an activity that will engage your audience that will help to answer your BIG QUESTION. This activity can be improvisational (a scene they will act out), game-based, or something of your own creation. It can involve the entire class OR a few volunteers. It must involve all members of your group in some way – either as participants in a scene or in delivering of instructions, for example. Write your plan step by step on a separate page.
