    • History of Adidas-Adidas was founded by a man named AdiDassler.-Dassler designed his first pair of shoes at age 20in 1920
    • History Continued-Dassler’s design of shoe was focused towardsathletes because he was an athlete himself.-Adidas shoes were worn in the 1928 OlympicGames in Amsterdam, for the first time.
    • History Continued-In 1930 Adi Dassler’s company had become theworlds leading sports shoe manufacturer.-In 1948 Adi Dassler mad Adidas the officialcompany name (Combining his-First and last name).
    • History continued• Starting in the mid 1960’s Adidas began to make other training and competition apparel besides shoes.

    • History Continued-In 1978 Adi Dassler past away. His wife and son HorstDassler took over the company. - Horst died in 1987 and the company became acorporation in 1989.-In 1992 Adidas started targeting the younger group ofpopulation which is how we recognize them today.
    • Future of Adidas-Adidas’ sales in retail have been steadily increasing and over the past 5 years their volume has tripled.-If they continue to have a steady increase in retail sales, Adidas will become an even bigger competitor.-Some people believe that Adidas will eventually overcome Nike.
    • Future Continued-Adidas has teamed up with Maple Lake to helpthem with planning for it’s future retail operations.-Maple Lake is a Planning Specialist Provider.-This will certainly increase the success rate for Adidasand allow they to continue to grow as a company and adapt to new trends.
    • Future continued-One of Adidas’ main goals is to lead in the sporting Goods industry.-In order to achieve this they plan on continuing the growth of Adidas in other countries around the world.
