Surgical Simulation <ul><li>is to permit the student, resident, or fully trained surgeon to acquire critical skills in a safe environment. </li></ul><ul><li>permits exploration and repeated practice </li></ul><ul><li>allows ‘‘permission to fail’’—the opportunity to learn from one’s mistakes. </li></ul><ul><li>laparoscopic skills learnt with simulators are transferable to operating room. </li></ul>
