Digital  Futures  CRN                  2012  and  looking  forward  DF  CRN  is  doing  research:     ü  more  than  25  USQ  academics   asking  ques%ons,  geBng   ü  5  research  teams  across  all   data,  analysing   facul7es,  plus  centres     informa%on,  developing   ü  mentors/collaborators  at   new  ideas,  new  techniques,   UniSA  &  ANU   construc7ve  cri%cism,   ü  employs  5  Post  doctoral   proposing  changes   fellows  –  early  career   researchers  DF  CRN  is  growing  capability:   ü  supports  8  PhD  students  –    publish,  train,  develop  skills,   researchers  in  training   get  grants   ü  employs  2  mid-­‐career    =  sustained  increase   researchers

Digital  Futures  CRN                  2012  and  looking  forward  DF  CRN  has  five  core  projects:  •  Developing  an  evalua&on  framework  for  mobile  learning  •  Determining  the  social  and  policy  challenges  of  a  digital   future:  A  cross-­‐sec7onal  analysis  of  rural  and  regional   Australia  •  Inves7ga7ng  the  impact  of  a  web-­‐based,  ‘discussion  support’,   agricultural-­‐climate  informa7on  system  on  Australian   farmers’  opera7onal  decision  making  •  Educa7on  using  remote  access  technologies  •  Use  of  technology  in  Higher  Educa&on:  An  assessment  from   socio-­‐economic  perspec7ves
