God’s Love Letter to us When I was young, my father was a merchant marine sailor. Consequently, we did not see much of him, but I learned to know him and love him from the letters he sent from every port of call. Similarly, the Bible is God’s love letter for us to come to know him as Father and obey him as Lord. We come to know our heavenly Father through his word, the Bible.

What the Bible says: (II Tim. 3) 15 And that from a babe you have known the set apart scriptures, which are able to make you wise for deliverance through belief in Messiah Yehoshua (Jesus). 16 All scripture is breathed (inspired)by Elohim (the Lord) and is profitable for teaching , for reproof , for setting straight , for instruction in righteousness. 17 That the man of Elohim might be fitted , equipped for every good work .

In other words: Salvation comes from God’s word. God’s word is for teaching. God’s word is for correcting us. God’s word puts us on the right path. God’s word teaches us righteousness. God’s word equips us for good works.

Our Daily Bread The average person eats three meals a day. Sometimes they have snacks too. If your body needs three meals a day to be healthy and satisfied, shouldn’t you feed your soul three times a day as well. God’s word is food for the soul. Three times a day is a good start.
