  • mjskok Michael J Skok, Venture Capitalist at North Bridge Venture Partners @jmartens For a number of years we have asked the following trending question “What types of cloud computing technologies is your organization using today? Which do you expect to be using in 5 years.” In 2013, we added the following question, 'What are you running in the Cloud? And included SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, CNNaaS, StaaS, and IaaS. Please indicate your stage of adoption for each category with the response choices (1. Currently in the Cloud; 2. Planning to move in 12 months; 3. Planning to move in the future 12+ months; 4. Use-but will not move to the Cloud and 5. Do not use).' We noted minor differences in the answers and so kept both of them — although clearly there's a bit more granularity in the way the second question was worded. Going forward we'll likely only keep one question to avoid confusion. 9 months ago

  • mjskok Michael J Skok, Venture Capitalist at North Bridge Venture Partners @jmartens It is showing the current adoption of these technologies by the respondents - eg
    Software as a Service 70%
    IaaS 66% etc
    Storage as a Service 46%
You're right it's not as obvious as it should be.
