OBSTACLES OF THE EXPLORATION <ul><li>On the way Salle and his group met a group of Seneca Indians in present day New York </li></ul><ul><li>In April 9, 1682, Salle named the entire Mississippi basin Louisiana and claimed it for France </li></ul><ul><li>He got ill when he was trying to find a western route to China </li></ul>
