  • A Woman of Elegance & Courage Alex Amend February 9 th ,2010 Jackie Kennedy Onassis Hall of Fame
  • Jackie Kennedy Onassis
    • Born Jacqueline Lee Bouvier on July 28,1929 in East Hampton, New York to stockbroker Jack and his wife Janet Bouvier. Her parents were part of an old Catholic family.
    • As a child Jackie loved horses and was a
    • championed equestrian.
    • Jackie was named debutant of the year and attended Vassar College.
    • Jackie married John Kennedy in 1953 and shortly after starting campaigning for the 1960 president election.
    • She became first lady when her husband John Kennedy was elected president in 1960 Jackie and John had a daughter Caroline and a son on the was to later be named John F. Kennedy Jr.
    • By the time her husband, John Kennedy was elected president in 1960 Jackie and John had a daughter Caroline and a son on the was to later be named John F. Kennedy Jr.
    • Jackie accompanied her husband on many state trips, where she was useful for her being fluent in many languages.
    • By 1963 John was seeking reelection and on a November 22,1963 her husband was assassinated, Jackie was by his side.
    • After her husbands death Jackie slipped away from the spotlight until her highly public union to Greek shipping heir Aristotle Onassis and became a widow again after his death.
    • In 1994 Jackie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jackie's condition vastly worsened and she finally ended her battle on May 19, 1994
