      • Wood window repair steps:
      • Carefully remove window sash stop on one side
      • Rotate sash into room to expose the hidden door at bottom of jamb
      • Wood window repair steps:
      • Pull out weight from pocket in jamb
      • Examine knot in order to copy the style
      • Wood window repair steps:
      • Remove and replace sash cord with new knotted cord in the channel in the side of the sash
      • Thread cord through the pulley
      • Wood window repair steps:
      • Re-tie the cord to the sash weight
      • Replace weight in pocket in the jamb
      • Replace cover of hidden door
      • Wood window repair steps:
      • Replace window stop with small finish nails
      • Re-caulk and touch up paint on window stop and trim joint
