  2. 2. <ul><li>Maintain integrity by using the Secretary of the Interior Standards </li></ul><ul><li>6. Deteriorated historic features will be repaired rather than replaced. Where the severity of deterioration requires replacement of a distinctive feature, the new feature will match the old in design, color, texture, and, where possible, materials. Replacement of missing features will be substantiated by documentary and physical evidence. </li></ul>

  4. 4. <ul><li>Recommended City of Napa chimney repair techniques – interior braced: </li></ul><ul><li>Install bond beam ant attic level; replace masonry with light gauge framing; brace at attic and roof level; use appropriate exterior finish; add cap. In this case, replicate original sheet metal sleeve. Use documentary and pictorial evidence. </li></ul>
