    • The man’s way of salvation have different ways such as “Faith only”, “Once saved always saved”, etc.
    • The God’s way of salvation have three degree of salvation which is:
    • 1. Salvation from past sins by justification – Mt.1:21; Rm.3:24-25
    • 2. Salvation from present sins by sanctification – 1 Jn.1:7-2:1
    • 3. Salvation in the future into glorification – Hb.9:28
    • Let us study of what the scriptures said about this matter.
    The Three Degree Of Salvation
  • 2.
    • “ For all have sinned..” (Rm.3:23)
    • “ For the wages of sin is death..” (Rm.6:23) -- i.e. 1st death in sins (Ep.2:1), 2 nd death in hell (Rv.21:8).
    • Jesus came, “..for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Mt.1:21). How?
    • By the gospel of Christ in order to justified (Rm.1:16-17; 6:17-18; 3:24-25).
    • What is the gospel? (1 Co.15:1-4)
    • How to obey the gospel? (Rm.6:3-6) -- i.e. Hear (Rm.10:17), Believe (Jn.8:24), Repent (Acts 17:30), Confess (Rm.10:9-10), Baptism (Acts 22:16).
    • Paul stated the benefits of justification in Rm.5:1-5 .
    1. Salvation From Past Sins By Justification -- Mt.1:21; Rm.3:24-25
  • 3.
    • “ My little children, these things write I unto you that ye sin not. And if any man sin,...” (2 Jn.2:1). What shall we do?
    • 1. Confess our sins to God (2 Jn.1:9)
    • 2. Walk in the light and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin (2 Jn.1:7)
    • Paul said, “…ye are sanctified..” (1 Co.6:11)
    • Peter said, “..so be ye holy in all manner of conversation” (1 Pt.1:15-16)
    • Peter said, in order we cannot forget that we are cleansed our old sins we must, “giving all diligence add to your faith + virtue + knowledge + temperance + patience + godliness + brotherly kindness + charity = diligent, fruithful, not blind, never fall & shall enter into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Pt.1:4-11)
    2. Salvation From Present Sins By Sanctification -- 1 Jn.1:7-2:1

    • “ So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hb.9:28)
    • “ When the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory” (Mt.25:31). “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you..” (Mt.25:34; 1 Pt.1:4-5,9)
    • Paul said heavenly glorification (1 Co.15:40-44).
    3. Salvation In The Future Into The Glorification -- Hb.9:28
  • 5.
    • In our songbooks we sing, “Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?”
    • “ And now why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16)
    • “… be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.” (Rv.2:10)
    • “… He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” (Rv.2:11).
