What Drives Your Life? <ul><li>Fear </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Fear is a self—imposed prison that will keep you from being what God intends for you to be. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>“ There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18 NKJV) </li></ul></ul>

What Drives Your Life? <ul><li>Materialism </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Your value is not determined by things , God says the most valuable things in life are not things! </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Need for Approval </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Being controlled by the opinions of others is a guaranteed way to miss God’s purposes for your life. </li></ul></ul>

Know Your Purpose <ul><li>Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Without God, life has no purpose , and without purpose, life has no meaning . </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>“ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) </li></ul></ul>

Know Your Purpose <ul><li>Knowing your purpose simplifies your life. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You will constantly ask, “ Does this activity help me fulfill one of God’s purposes for my life ?” </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>“ You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3) </li></ul></ul>
  6. 7. Know Your Purpose <ul><li>Knowing your purpose focuses your life. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You become effective by being selective. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>“ Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:17) </li></ul></ul>

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. 15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things.” (Philippians 3:13—15a) </li></ul>

Final Exam Time <ul><li>You weren’t put on earth to be remembered. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>One day you will stand before God to give an account of your life. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>“ For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” 12So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:10b—12 NKJV) </li></ul></ul>
