“ So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
Made for a Mission
God wants you to have a ministry in the Body of Christ and a mission in the world.
Your Ministry is your service to believers .
Your Mission is your service to unbelievers .
Jesus understood his mission on earth.
At age twelve he said, “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49)
Twenty-one years later, dying on the cross, he said, “It is finished.” (John 19:30)
Made for a Mission
Jesus’ mission is our mission.
That mission is introducing people to God.
“ All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Made for a Mission
God wants to redeem mankind from Satan and reconcile them to himself, then we can fulfill the purposes he created us for:
To Love Him
To be a part of His Family
To become Like Him
To Serve Him
To Tell Others about Him
Made for a Mission
The bible says “ We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. ” (2 Corinthians 5:20)
We are the messengers of God’s love and purposes to the world!
Importance of Your Mission
In the Great Commission Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19—20)
If you are part of God’s family, your mission is mandatory .
Importance of Your Mission
You are the only Christian some people may ever know, and it is your mission to share Christ with them.
Paul says we are, “co-laborers” and “workers together” with God.
One must never forget how hopeless it feels to be without Christ.
Without Christ people are hopelessly lost and headed for eternal damnation.
Importance of Your Mission
Your mission has eternal significance.
It will impact the eternal destiny of other people.
This is why we must be urgent about our mission.
“ As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” (John 9:4)
