    • He was born on October 15 th 1902 and died on the 14 th January 1984 at 81 years old

    • Ray Kroc was a business man who took over the small business (at the time) of McDonalds in 1954 and built it into one of the most successful fast food restaurants in the world
    Ray Kroc 1954 Why was Ray Kroc Famous
    • During World War 1, Ray Kroc lied about his age to become an ambulance driver for the Red Cross. After serving the society as a driver for the Red Cross he moved to Chicago and became a jazz pianist as well as a salesman.
    • He decided to settle down in 1922, and married Ethel. With all Ray Kroc’s experiences in the sales business he decided to study in the fast food business. He started with being a milkshake make, and at this milkshake place of his, he found his partner in the business, Richard McDonald and Maurice McDonald.

    • The first shop opened in 1955 in Chicago as the organization became the McDonald's Corporation. Six years later Ray bought out the founding brothers. By 1965 there were more than 700 sites in existence across the United States.

    • McDonald's opens a new restaurant every four hours. McDonald's has sold well over 100 billion hamburgers. Antarctica is the only continent that does not have a McDonald's restaurant - yet.
