      Online learning can be defined as the new age Open and Distance Learning that uses network technologies to deliver teaching and learning and interaction for sense-making and development of understanding and knowledge.

      • Internet, the backbone of online learning, is an interlinked network of networks that allows computers worldwide to connect to it, and to communicate or exchange data with each other
      • Transmission Control Protocol - Internet Protocol (TCP/IP); information is routed in "packets"
