  • 2.  The Sprint Nextel Corporation was founded in 2004 when Sprint PCS merged with Nextel Communications. Sprint Nextel now operates Sprint and Nextel plans and also pre-paid services Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
  • 3.  Sprint biggest challenge is getting more of the market that Verizon and AT&T Mobility are controlling right now. AT&T also bought out T-Mobile and are just waiting to get cleared legally. If that happens AT&T will overtake Verizon as #1 with Sprint staying at #3 but with less of the market from their two biggest competition.
  • 4.  Sprint can capitalize with getting more younger adult customers. Sprint can keep attracting young adults into contracts with the company by keeping their current low-priced cell phone plans along with highly sought after phones such as the iPhone, Evo, and other Android powered phones.
