Republic of Serbia THE NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR TOURISM MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMY• “Support the implementation of the National Strategy for Tourism”, the project funded by the European Union in the amount of EUR 1 million• In order to achieve the implementation of the Revision, it is essential to focus on sustainability of tourism development• Specific new tools concerning both private and public involvement in tourism development have to be implemented and these include:  The establishment of “Observatory of Tourism” to address the needs of investors and professionals  Training Programs to support SMEs sustainability 4  Guidelines on priorities for tourism promotion

Old Mountain)• Hotel opened on 25th December 2011• First greenfield investment in domestic tourism in 20 years• The state invested 30 million EUR• Austrian Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences took over the hotel management in September 2011• Management duration period: 15 years 7

Republic of Serbia INCENTIVES (Subsidies and grants)MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMY • Development of the urban planning and project design documentation (Physical or Regional Plans, Strategic Master Plans, Urbanistic Plans etc) • Construction of access roads to tourist sites • Communal infrastructural fit-out of the construction land as the basis for the development of tourist accommodations (hydro-technical facilities, water and sewage systems, parking lots etc) • Development of general recreation-designated land in tourist destinations (pedestrian trails, practice and training trails, bicycling 10 trails etc.)
