SENECA COLLEGE A LEADER IN APPLIED RESEARCH  Applied research projects align industry partners with student / faculty potential  Seneca awarded one of Canada’s first Industrial Research Chairs  Major federal grants for research in aviation and open source technology; Seneca has received more funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) than any other college in Ontario  Specialization in partnership-based commercialization projects with small- and medium-sized businesses  In 2012-13:  Over $2.3 million in agency grant funding  Over $790,000 in private sector support for applied research  Over 69 Faculty Involved  Over 220 Students Involved  Over 164 companies served  Over 68 applied research project completed 10
