Cover photograph by Lim Sun Kiat MacPherson Town Day The Sights & Sounds Of A Community Carnival Story by Michael Yap It was a glorious Sunday, 12 Jul 2009 where 2,000 residents came to join in the carnival atmosphere of MacPherson Town Day held at the MacPherson Community Club. While performances such as Indian Cultural Dance, Hip Hop Skipping and Children Teochew Opera were happening at the Multi-purpose Hall, hundreds of residents thronged the basketball court area which has been transformed into the Exhibition and Games stations area for the Town Day. Agencies which participated in the carnival include AVA, NEA, SCDF, Marine Parade Town Council and LTA.

The LTA team was all prepared as early as 6.30 am in anticipation of the tight security sweep that was carried out for the event. The exhibition panels provided information on Circle Line MacPherson Station and Land Transport Gallery.
