    • Chapter 1 Once upon a time there was a very poor boy called Jack who lived with his mother. All they had was a cow. One day hismum said, ” Go and sell the cow." Jack set off to market with thecow. On his way he met a clever man who proposed to buy the cow for five magic beans.When Jack arrived back with the beans his mum was very angry and told him to go to his room. Jack’s mother threw the beans out of the kitchen window. When Jack woke up the next morning, he looked out of his window and had a big surprise. In his garden he saw an enormous beanstalk. He wentoutside and decided to climb up it to see what was at the top.
    • Chapter 2When Jack got to the top of the beanstalk he saw a huge castle surrounded by a beautiful garden.He went up to the castle to a giant wooden door. Slowly he lifted the heavy metal knocker and banged it on the door. ‘RAT TAT TAT TAT’.A large giant answered the door and said, ” Follow me.” Jack followed the giant into her kitchen.
    • Chapter 3Suddenly a voice bellowed, “FEE FI FO FUM. I SMELL THEBLOOD OF AN ENGLISH MAN. IS HE ALIVE OR IS HEDEAD? I’LL GRIND HIS BONES TO MAKE MY BREAD!”The woman told Jack to hide.Jack quickly jumped into a mug which was on the kitchentable. The giant walked into the room and had a good lookaround. He then went to his wife and asked for his goldenhen. Jack peeped out from the top of the mug and saw agolden hen which was laying golden eggs.When the giant wasn’t looking Jack grabbed the hen, tuckedit under his arm and ran out of the house. The giant sawthem and shouted angrily as he began to follow.
    • Chapter 4 Jack climbed down the beanstalk with the giant chasing after him. When he got to the bottom he quickly jumped off and asked his mother to get him an axe. As the giant was beginning to climb after him he chopped the beanstalk down. The giant crashed to the ground …. DEAD.Jack and his mother lived happily ever after with the hen that kept them supplied with golden eggs.
