ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE READING AND WRITE. C.E.I.P. SAN FERNANDO SEVILLE SPAIN

1.-Daily reading time at school and at home. 2.-Visit to public libraries. 3.-.To participe in activities organized by the libraries. 4.-Open school library in the afternoons. 5.-S torytelling on Tuesdays in the playground . ( Students prepare a story during the week, after they say the story to all students. The objetive is to improve the reading habits.) ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE READING

6.- Making cards, (One for controling the time that they read, one with information about the books that the children have readed (author,...) and another one with the number of books that the pupils have read.) 7.- Daily time to read (Every Friday all pupils in the school read half and hour -from 13:30 until 14:00 hour). The bell rins for this time. 8.- Video stories. 9.- Theater days. 10.- Book day. To promote reading.

11.-Book fair. ( During a week, books are sold at school with % discount) . 12.-Older pupils read books to younger pupils. 13.-Classroomś library. (There is a library in each class. The studens can read in the class in time for this, they can take books and away to read in their houses.) 14.-Sometimes a person comes to the school and tells a tale to the students. 15.-Activities about reading from Internet..

16.-Flexibility time to learn mother tongue . (Students of 2th level of Primary School go with the students of 1 st level to learn language.) 17.-Interactive groups. (We make groups of 4 - 5 people to work cooperatively).

1.- Write a diary (Since the 3th level the diary is sometimes using the computer -send e-mail to the teacher or writing the blog- and other times writing in their notebooks ) 2.-Write in their Blogs 3.-Write tales for telling (stories) to youngers pupils. 4.-Write about the things they know (Family, house, holidays...)
