  • 2. Festivals held at Trikala Part 1st
  • 3. Most people of Trikala prefecture are land-workers or farmers.
    • So, it’s very common for local athorities to organize festivals for promoting their products or attracting tourists.
    • We tried to pick and represent to you the most famous and folksy.
  • 4. Feast of Farmer September Rizoma
  • 5. WHERE? PYLI WHEN? AUGUST THE EVENT OF TROUT FEAST
  • 6. V isitors have the opportunity of tasting trouts under the sounds of traditional music.
  • 7. Corn feast: First weekend of September, at Pyli.
  • 8. Women, dressed traditionally, represent works with corn and sing
  • 9. PIE FEAST IN PYLI Women make pies in the town square
  • 10. and they offer them to the visitors
  • 11. Chestnut Feast KASTANIA OCTOBER

    • V isitors have the opportunity to bake and taste the splendid chestnuts of region . 
  • 13. FEAST OF APIARISTS
  • 14. where and when? Between Pyli and Pertouli, in June!
  • 15. What’s going on? A Mass takes place and then special bread is offered
  • 16. Afterwards traditional food is offered cooked in the cauldron. P roducts based in honey are offered as well.
  • 17. Pie and Sausage Festival held in Diava, Kalampaka during September
