In Belgium: products waste currently represents almost 2
millions tons per year
A regional repair and reuse strategy will be launched in 2016
in the framework of a territorial Circular Economy program
Results expected by Brussels Environment for the future :
 Increased percentage of circular economy related actions
(encouraging Circularity of resources and encourage
stimulation of different economic sectors in Brussels)
 Reducing the amount of waste by type and sector
 Increase the recycling rate by type of waste by sector
A common direction: towards more circular economy initiatives!
