ABSTRACT
The main aim of this project is to study the level of satisfaction towards
labour welfare facilities in CIBI International, Perundurai.
The factories Act, 1948 lays stress on improved working condition for
the workers / employees in recognized industries. The study team appointed by
the Central Government in 1959 divided the welfare facilities into 2 groups;
a. Welfare within the premises of an establishment,
b. Welfare outside the establishment.
In this organization, they are providing the welfare facilities like drinking
water, Latrine and urinal, spittoon, washing, first aid, canteen, rest room, medical,
housing facilities and also co-operative societies.
For the purpose of the study, data have been collected through
administered questionnaire. A sample size of 200 respondents were selected
according to the stratified random sampling method. Percentage analysis and
chi-square test has been used for the purpose of analysis and interpretation.
Suggestions were made based on the findings. It is observed that the workers
are satisfied with the welfare facilities provided by the organization.
The welfare facilities like ventilation, medical facilities, canteen facilities
