  • 2. The two types of tundra are Alpine Tundra and Arctic Tundra.
  • 3. The Arctic Tundra is cold, vast, treeless area of low, swampy plains.
  • 4. Europe, Asia, North America, and most of Greenland is where Arctic Tundra is found.
  • 5. Alpine Tundra is a treeless area of high elevation rather than high latitude.
  • 6. Permafrost is permanently frozen soil, subsoil, or other deposit, characteristic of arctic and some subarctic regions.
  • 7. Some animals in the Arctic Tundra are lemmings, voles, caribou, and polar bears.
