  1. 1. Things We Wish Gov. Snyder Would Say on Michigan No-fault Reform (but hasn’t). Want to really lower the price of No Fault Insurance in Michigan? Here are 8 things we wish Governor Snyder would say and do on Michigan No Fault Reform (but hasn’t).
  2. 2. Michigan’s No Fault autoinsurance companies should berequired to disclose annuallytheir loss ratios on their No Fault(PIP) coverage lines.
  3. 3. Michigan needs an “AffordableCare Act” for our No Faultsystem. Let’s start by requiringthese companies to providevalue or refunds by enacting aNo Fault 80/20 loss ratio rule.
  4. 4. Michigan’s auto insurance companies should be required to disclose No Fault claims trends.
  5. 5. Michigan’s insurance commissioner shouldconduct an updated study on the excessiveness of Michigan auto insurance prices.
  6. 6. We should compel the Director of the newly-created Department ofInsurance and Financial Services to resume publication of an annual “Buyers’ Guide” to help people save money. to Auto Insurance.”
  7. 7. Let’s restore the Michigan ConsumerProtection Act (MCPA) to deter anti-consumer claims practices.
  8. 8. Let’s put a price on insurancecompany bad faith.
  9. 9. Let’s allow people who have been seriously harmed by egregiousconduct by insurance companies to have real legal recourse – allowpunitive damages to deter this from happening to others.
