    • 3. 52% of Latina teens get pregnant at least once before age 20—nearly twice the national average. Dropout rate at Venice High School is 28.6%; 68% of the student population is Latino. Source: National Campaign for Teen Pregnancy Only about ½ of sexually active Latino teens used a condom the last time they had sex; only 1 in 7 used birth control pills the last time they had sex! In 2009, 49% of Latino high school students reported having had sexual intercourse—45% of girls and 53% of boys. More than 2,000 teen girls get pregnant a day! 3 out of 10 teens will get pregnant before the age of 20!

      • Culmination Event Eligibility requires 7 out of 10 session commitment
        • Celebrates our empowerment and independence to make educated choices

        • Earn Community Service hours for attendance, bringing a friend, and project = 40 hours!

          • 7 Meetings “Girls Only” themes
          • 3 Meetings invited boys
      • Community Service Project
        • PACT participants select project and complete, as a group
