  • 3. Mission The American Red Cross is a humanitarianorganization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement. It provides relief tovictims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

  • 17. The local Red Cross chapter provides most of the blood supply for our area. We recruited more than45,000 blood donors last year to provide life saving blood for area hospitals.

  • 20. Each year the Red Cross assists nearly 3,000Triangle military families financially and emotionally.
