Every story has a beginning, a middle
and an end. So should your presentation.
It’s about killer headlines
It is not a title. It is a headline. It’s also not your
job to bore them to death
You need hero
Typically, only 10% of words are remembered after 3
days. Add an image and it increases to 65%.
Keep it simple and concise.
I write thrillers that keep you up at night.
Not blah, blah, blah…!
I write detective novels and my main
character is a drunk ex-cop that almost
always gets his man except when he
doesn’t. He’s actually a recovering
alcoholic but rarely attends AA meetings
which doesn’t help... yada, yada, yada
Ditch the bullets
Some presentations have more bullets than a Uzi.
You don’t need that many to be effective.
Less will always be more
You need to tell the story
Not read from your slide deck
It’s not all about you.
It’s actually about
Unless of course,
it really is about you.
Simplicity rules. One idea. One slide.
