M icah Crandall-Bear is one of Northern Californias finest artists. He
has made a name for himself with his bold, abstract compositions that stir
the imagination, express emotion and bring life to the canvas in a way that
evokes the observers creative consciousness. He has a unique understanding
of color and his acrylic works express his undiluted personal perspectives,
yet invite the observer to derive their own meaning. He draws influence
from the founders of Abstract Expressionism. One can see and feel Pollock's
verve, Rothko's clarity and the artistically unmitigated works of Motherwell
in Micah Crandall-Bear's stunning compositions.
