    • Challenge Design a 2-hour introduction to children’s book section of library. (Chapter 9, Page 173, Question #1)
    • Events of Instruction Step 1: Gain Attention Welcome to the Wonderful World of Children’s Books!
    • Events of Instruction Step 2: State Objective(s) You will be your child’s personal library guide after viewing this orientation!
    • Events of Instruction: Step 3: Stimulate Recall of Prior Info. Do you remember your favorite books as a child? Can you visualize your favorite children’s book character?
    • Events of Instruction Step 4: Present the Stimulus Learning the Library Layout I. Types of Children’s Books II. Children’s Library Events/Workshops III.
    • Events of Instruction Step 5: Provide Guidance Use your map to locate sections of children’s books  The books are classified by author name  Ask a librarian if you have questions! 
    • Events of Instructions Step 6: Elicit Performance Find the “Geography” section of the children’s 1. library Find the “Where’s Zoe?” book in the Geography 2. section.
    • Events of Instruction Step 7: Provide Feedback Remember: 2. Determine section 3. Determine author 4. Find book title
    • Events of Instruction Step 8: Assess Learner Performance Go to www.fakelibrarysite.com and take the  orientation quiz!
