    • 100% compatible with legacy RBS (RM617 etc.), mixed installations possible, legacy DECT handsets (D3 etc.) can still be used
    • Old site survey toolkits can still be used (except when doing measurements with external antennas)
    • Support for messaging via NovaLink MACS remains unchanged
    • No support for legacy DECT2 board, all other DECT boards are supported
    • Encrypted communication between RBS and DECT handsets now possible (only with RM627 and RM637, not with legacy RBS)
