  • 1. INDIA IS THE EIGHTH FASTEST GROWING SOURCE OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS (FDI’S) IN THE UNITED STATES. US WAS ATTRACTING A TOTAL OF $300 BILLION FDI’s A YEAR AND INDIA'S INVESTMENTS WERE TO THE TUNE OF $9 BILLION IN 2012.
  • 2. IN 2011, INDIAN FDI’S IN THE US ACCOUNTED FOR JUST OVER $7 BILLION. THE US FDI IN INDIA LAST YEAR INCREASED TO $28.38 BILLION FROM $24.66 BILLION IN 2011.
  • 3. USIIF – The Official Liaison Between the Indian Investment Community and the US companies seeking foreign capital. The U.S.-India Investors' Forum (USIIF) has recently been formed with the support of the US Commercial Service in order to connect Indian investors with FDI opportunities in the US. It was inaugurated by the Former Secretary of Commerce John Bryson
  • 4. USIIF will work closely with the US Commercial Services and Us Consulate on the Select USA program initiated by the Obama Administration. President Obama is expanding SelectUSA, a Commerce Department program designed to attract more foreign investment. It is "the first-ever, fully coordinated U.S. government effort to recruit businesses to invest and create new jobs in the United States," Obama said. One goal is national coordination of efforts that have been left largely to states and cities.
  • 5. THE COST OF ENERGY IS “DECLINING DRAMATICALLY” IN THE US FOLLOWING THE DISCOVERY OF LARGE SHALE GAS RESERVES & HAS MADE USA MORE ATTRACTIVE FOR FOREIGN INVESTMENTS. IN FACT, “US WILL BE THE LARGEST OIL EXPORTER IN THE WORLD IN 5-10 YEARS,” HE SAID.
  • 6. USIIF was part of the Indian delegation which attended the Select USA Summit in Washington DC which was addressed by the President Obama, VP , US Secretary of Commerce amongst other dignitaries.
  • 7. The USIIF is a completely non-profit entity. It’s Advisory Board Members are involved on a fully probono basis. The USIIF’s primary focus will be to introduce US and Indian Institutions to new business opportunities with each other. To act as a liaison between the Indian investment community and the US Government for addressing investor concerns. It's Advisory Board is comprised of eminent personalities from some of India’s top financial institutions.

THE USIIF WILL OFFER THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ITS MEMBER INSTITUTIONS:  The USIIF will offer the opportunity for its member institutions: To interact with visiting US delegations  Participate in Road Shows in various cities in India  Be briefed about latest investment opportunities  Visit special trade shows  Attend seminars on topics like taxation and U.S. State Laws  Have access to a knowledge-base for Foreign Direct Investments  Attend networking events  Develop working relationships with US-based companies.
  • 9. IN INDIA, AMERICAN COMPANIES ARE LOOKING AT SECTORS LIKE  Aerospace  Aviation  Airport infrastructure  Healthcare equipment and Defence
  • 10. USIIF WILL DO ITS BEST TO FACILITATE THE MATCH MAKING EFFORTS BETWEEN INDIAN SME INVESTORS & US COMPANIES IN VARIOUS SECTORS LIKE:  Pharma  Life Sciences  Bio Medical  Automotive  IT / Manufacturing  Real Estate  Education.
