We Ought To Offer Praise To God! Hebrews 13:15 Some Christians are ready to give honor and glory to other people, yet fail to give it to God. We obey God when we thank Him. 1 Thes.5:18 We ought to always give thanks to Him! Psalm 100:4; Colossians 3:15 Psalm 34:1 says, “… I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

We Ought To Enjoy the Peace of God! Phil. 4:7 This world is filled with strife, hatred, and various evils. Most seek but find no peace. Many Christians also lack peace. We often worry and fret instead of accepting God’s assistance and peace! Phil. 4:6-8 To obey God, we must look to God for real and lasting peace! John 14:27

We Ought To Yield to the Purposes of God! Rom. 6:13 “… but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” Many don’t yield to God’s purposes. They are consumed with selfish goals. To obey God we must surrender to His ways, exchanging our desires for His purposes. Romans 12:1-2 We also promote God’s purposes by shining our light for Jesus!
