    2. 2. What Will We Learn? <ul><li>We will be able to name the different parts of a plant at the end of this presentation. </li></ul>
    3. 3. These are words I am going to learn about and why they are important. <ul><li>Seed </li></ul><ul><li>Soil </li></ul><ul><li>Water </li></ul><ul><li>Roots </li></ul><ul><li>Oxygen </li></ul><ul><li>Sun </li></ul>
    4. 4. What is a seed? <ul><li>A seed is like an egg that is ready to hatch. </li></ul><ul><li>It needs to be cared for and given water and sunshine in order for it to grow. </li></ul>
    5. 5. What is soil? Soil is a fancy word for dirt. The seed is put into the soil on land. The soil protects the seed.
    6. 6. How do water and the roots work together? <ul><li>Water is very important in helping a plant grow and stay strong. </li></ul><ul><li>Water delivers important nutrients. </li></ul><ul><li>The roots of a plant are like the mouth of a person. </li></ul><ul><li>Water is absorbed through the plants roots which allows the water to travel to the rest of the plant. </li></ul>
    7. 7. Why are oxygen and the sun important? <ul><li>Oxygen is the air that we breathe. </li></ul><ul><li>Plants also need air in order to live. </li></ul><ul><li>Plants do not eat food. They get their energy from the sun. </li></ul>
    8. 8. Now we know how to identify the important parts of a plant.
