  • 3 Essential Ways to Get Rid of Stink Bugs in the House
    By http://www.StinkBugsSecrets.com
  • Intro
Stink bugs in the house are nuisances and annoying. If your house has been attacked by these bugs before, you’ll understand what I am talking about
If you are sick and tired of these bugs, here are 3 essential methods to get rid of them in your house.
  • 1. Suck Them Up
If you have a vacuum cleaner, better still a portable hand-held type, begin to suck up these bugs whenever you see them.
Search around the house for these bugs and suck them with no mercy.
Have several vacuum bags on standby as the vacuum bag will get stinky after containing the insects.
Do keep in mind that although this method may temporarily reduce the stink bugs population in your house, you need to identify the reasons why you house is infected with them. This is important as doing so will help you to get rid of these bugs permanently.
  • 2. Seal Your House
Stink bugs are small and they can go through any small openings outside your house. If you have broken windows and gaps in the door, chances are these bugs will be able to enter your house.
These insects are attracted by light and heat. If you turn on your light at night, these bugs will be attracted to it. Make sure that the door or windows which you switch on the light are well sealed with no gaps.
To ensure that your house is protected against these bugs, walk around your house before the start of winter and check for any openings and gaps outside the house; once you identified these gaps outside your house, sealed them with a good quality silicone caulk. This will keep the bugs from entering your house.
  • 3. Use Dust Treatment
If you want to get rid of these insects for large and hard-to-reach areas, then you should consider using the dust treatment method.
This method is effective up to 12 months in keeping the bugs away and it is also more effective as compared to liquid or aerosol treatments. It is also effective in keeping other insects away whether in wet or dry conditions.
One set-back about this method is the possibility of increase in carpet beetles and may feed on the dead stink bugs; and when this happen, you may have another problem with carpet beetles attacking your wool goods or products.
