  • PLEGIA• paralysis or a strokeExamples:• Cardioplegia (paralysis of the heart)• Hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the body)• Paraplegia (paralysis of the legs)• Quadriplegia (paralysis of all four extremities).

  • ESTHESIA• Sensation Example:• Parasthesia - abnormal sensation, such a tingling• Anesthesia- total or partial loss of sensation• Hyperaesthesia-abnormal increase in sensitivity to sensory stimuli
