  • 9. Luggage All luggage should be quot;softquot; luggage and your son/daughter should be able to easily carry their own luggage. Should have a padlock. (1) Electronic items - I would strongly advise you not to allow your son/ daughter to take these on the trip. The ethos of the trip is to communicate with others in the group and enjoy the sites of the quot;great out doorsquot;. It is doubtful that pupils will have time to play on electronic games and they will not be allowed to take them on the daily fieldtrips. ipods are acceptable. (2) Mobile phones: I am happy to be a point of contact for parents during the trip, so students should not need to take their own mobile phones. Please let me know if you would like your son/daughter to take their mobile phones. There are phones in the room. (3) Insect repellent - I would strongly advise you to purchase DEET based insect repellent and for your son and daughter to have a good supply. Remember Langkawi is not at present listed as a malarial zone, but please consult with your family doctor if you have any worries in this respect. (4) Carry on luggage - money to buy water and snacks after security, medication.

  • 17.
