  • 2. tempted to do something, you really want to do it, even though you shouldn’t My brother tempted me with a cookie even though he knew I was not eating sweets.
  • 3. Insights To notice or understand important things that other people might not see. My older sister has many insights about her best friend.
  • 4. essence The essence of something is its most basic, important quality. What is the essence of your mother’s feelings for you?
  • 5. indication Is a sign that something exists or might happen. Flowers blooming is an indication that spring is on its way.
  • 6. proposed When someone suggest something. I propose that you go outside to play rather than stay inside and play video games.
  • 7. instinct Is a natural, almost automatic way people and animals react to things. When a mouse is scared, it’s instinct is to hide.
  • 8. baffled Someone who cannot understand it or explain it. The teacher was baffled when she tried to read a students writing assignment.
