Code Name Osiris.• The purpose of the MOC is to construct a synthetic rubber chimney from the BP Gulf oil well head to the surface to contain the massive spill.• The MOC is essentially a chimney that will contain the oil and allow it to flow up and disperse the sea water, until the column is filled with oil, where upon the oil can be siphoned into tankers at the surface. Oil will flow, but be contained.
