Michael Dadoun Knows How
to Grow and Retain Talent
 Michael Dadoun is the CEO of Montreal, Canada based UpClick. This
is a payment processing firm that has made a name for itself in a
very short period of time, thanks to Michael’s inspirational
leadership.
 Leading a modern business organization is not easy by any stretch
of imagination. There is uncertainty and chaos all around and a
person has to be an immensely hard worker with a vision, sound
communication skills, and exceptional knowledge to be able to
succeed.
 The best leaders are those who keep their ears and eyes open and
know how to respond to rapidly changing business environment.
They make certain important transitions that mediocre leaders
remain curiously blind to.
 In the following section, we shall look at some important leadership
qualities and characteristics that a person must possess in order to
successfully lead a modern organization.
 Modern firms function in a highly competitive business
environment. Technology and procedure can be copied by rivals and
competitors, but human resource of an organization cannot be
duplicated.
 Talent of a workforce or lack of it is often the single largest source
of competitive advantage for an organization in a modern business
set up. Talent as such needs careful development and nurturing.
 Great leaders understand this and do everything in their power to
draw, develop, and retain talent. They know that unexpected talent
departure can disrupt the entire workflow of the organization.
Exceptional Leaders Know How to Grow
and Retain Talent
 Capable business leaders understand the value of talent
development and retention and know how to extract the maximum
from their employees without leaning too hard on them.
 Employees who are given challenging tasks and certain degree of
freedom to accomplish them feel valued, challenged, and wanted.
They are motivated and always give their best for the organization.
 There is an old saying that goes, “Employees don’t quit working for
companies, they quit working for their bosses.” Quality leaders
make it a point to align the career goals of their employees with
their career aspirations.
 Michael Dadoun is a leader who is loved and respected by his
employees. He makes his employees feel valued and appreciated. A
smart leader, Michael knows that an organization’s goals and
objectives are best achieved if employees' passion is aligned with
corporate pursuits.
 Another very important task that they perform is to assign
challenging tasks to their employees and allow them to do it with
minimum of interference. It is human nature to get bored easily and
employees who find their work boring are most unlikely to perform
to their optimum potential.
 Good leaders are aware of how much they know, but exceptional
leaders are aware of how much they do not know. They know about
their strengths, but more importantly, know where their weakness
lies.

become keen observer of situation, events, and people. They are
acute listeners who respect others ideas and feelings.
 Learning for such leaders is a never ending process, which puts
them in a perfect position to respond effectively and efficiently to
ever changing market situations. These leaders have an unyielding
desire to learn new things and take on challenging roles.
Accomplished Leaders are Aware of their
Limitations
 Leaders who know that they know everything will find it incredibly
tough to learn from others. They will cease to grow and as such will
be thoroughly inefficient to lead a growing organization.
 Michael Dadoun, the CEO of e-commerce solution provider UpClick,
is a leader with insatiable curiosity. A person with big ambitions but
very small ego, Michael does not let a single opportunity pass that
will teach him something new and make him a better leader.
• It is rightly said that what goes around comes around and

• Modern leadership is all about hard work, perspective, vision, and
compassion. Leaders who have a vision and the willingness to put
that vision into action by enlisting the help of their employees are
the ones who are successful.
• They know how to attract and develop talent. They know how to
motivate employees and get the best from them. Happy and loyal
employees are productive employees, which enable the
organization to maximize its output with minimum of resources.
• Michael Dadoun is a visionary leader who knows how to bring
people together for a common cause. A highly compassionate
leader, Michael enjoys complete love and trust of his employees.
