      • The Estonian flag is blue, black and white.
      • It is 125 years old.
    • 3. Location
      • Estonia is in Northern Europe, to the south of Finland and to the west of Russia.
    • 4. The map of Estonia
      • Estonia has about 1.3 million people.
      • Estonia is about 47,227 square kilometers big.
      • There are 15 counties.
    • 5. Symbols
      • The z ool s wallow is Estonian national bird.
      • And the national flower is the cornflower.
    • 6. The president of Estonia
      • This is Toomas Hendrik Ilves. He is the president of Estonia. He represents our country. He has been our president since 2006. President is 57 years old. He always wears a b ow tie .
    • 7. The coat of arms
      • The Estonian coat of arms has three lions and they are blue. The history of the coat of arms is long and old. And this is really beautiful.
    • 8. Tallinn- capital of Estonia
    • 9. Capitals Türi- the spring capital. A flower fair takes place there. Otepää- the winter capital. You can go skiing, snowboarding there.
    • 10. Kadriorg palace
      • This is Kadriorg palace.
      • It’s the residence of the president.
      • There is a very beautiful park too.
    • 11. The Estonian song festival
      • The first song festival was held in year 1869. In 2009 the 25’th song festival took place. 26,430 singers and musicians performed there. 120 thousand people watched it.
    • 12. Education
      • This is Tartu University.
      • This is Estonia's oldest university (founded in 1632) .
      • For 90 years Estonian has been the language of instruction.
    • 13. Geography
      • Estonia has 1,521 islands, the biggest of them is Saaremaa.
      • Estonia has 2.3 million hectars of forests. It is 51% of the mainland.
      • Estonian rivers are short .
    • 14. K.Smigun-Vähi
      • Kristiina Šmigun-Vähi is one of the best female skiers in the world. She won two golden medals in the Winter Olympic Games in Torino four years ago. Also she has won world cup races.
    • 15. A.Veerpalu
      • Andrus Veerpalu is one of the best man skiers in Estonia. He has won golden medals in the Winter Olympic games in 2002 and 2006. He’s from Pärnu and he’s 38 years old.
